Early Years Inclusion and SEND (EYIS)
Previously - Integrated Disability Service (IDS)
Warwickshire provides specialist support for children in their early years who have, or may have, additional needs.
The Early Years Inclusion and SEND (EYIS) team provides information and support relating to children aged 0–5, and brings together specialist education professionals who work alongside families, early years settings and other professionals.
Support can include specialist assessment, observations, advice for nursery practitioners and families, identifying appropriate outcomes and strategies, supporting the Assess, Plan, Do, Review process and helping settings to monitor children's progress.
It also includes specialist services supporting areas such as hearing, physical needs, complex needs and vision.
Where we feel that a child may benefit from additional support, we will always discuss our observations and concerns with parents/carers and work in partnership with you. Parental consent is obtained before referrals are made.
