Learning Experiences and Opportunities!

We provide a wide variety of learning experiences and opportunities for children throughout the nursery which are centred around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We provide opportunities for children to explore and enjoy various topics to suit their needs such as different festivals, celebrations and seasons; numbers and colours; creative play, expressive art and design; and music and movement.

We follow 'In the moment planning' meaning that we follow the children's interest and implement and extend on different learning experiences. We also follow 'Scaffolding Learning' meaning that some of the activities and learning experiences are adult led. We are work closely with parents and are always happy to receive ideas and suggestions from parents.

Exploring our Outdoor Provision!

We are very lucky to have such a large outdoor area for our children.

Baby Room have their own garden area to allow them to explore the outdoor provision safely.

Our Toddler Room and Preschool Room share a large outdoor area. We have a mud kitchen area which the children love going into and getting messy whilst making their own yummy mud pies!! We also have a growing area where the children are involved in helping to grow different vegetables and fruit, which the chef uses to make the children's home made meals.

We use our outdoor provision throughout the day, this enables the children to explore and progress in so many ways. Using the outside resources children are assisted in developing motor skills and hand/eye co-ordination, team building, working together along with fitness and exercise. Acting as a large classroom, our outdoor area also helps to develop and extend learning around certain themes and topics such as growing, new life, the weather, mini beasts, and various arts and crafts.
